Our Winter 2022 trip took us to Austria.  We’d been attempting to experience more of Europe’s famous Christmas Markets for several years but to no avail due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Luckily, in December 2022, the stage was set for us to finally make it to Austria.  Rather than combining Germany and Austria, as many folks do, we chose to see all of what Austria itself has to offer.  From Vienna, the City of Music, to the fairy tale city of Innsbruck in the Austrian Alps, to historic Salzburg, we tracked our way across Austria via one beautiful train ride after another.  Our good fortune brought us the most picturesque, wintry weather that made jumping from one Christkindlmarkt to the next a dreamy holiday experience.  Throw in a night at one the the most unique spas in the world, and we were in for an epic treat!  Click below to continue reading about our Christmastime trip to Austria!
