We jumped across the pond at the end of February 2022 for two great reasons. First, Emily chose London as the location where she wanted to spend her 32nd birthday. When asked what she wanted to do for her birthday, she jokingly told me, “I’d like to wear the Crown Jewels!” Getting her close enough to see them was the best that I could do. We had also planned to go to the United Kingdom in Spring 2021 to commemorate 10 years since I had studied there during my undergraduate education. While this trip was ultimately delayed due to COVID-19, we were determined to make it happen one year later.
We started the week in London then traveled up to Grantham to spend a couple of nights at Harlaxton Manor before returning back to London for a few more days.
